COMPETITION CLASS

Wednesday

17:00 - 19:00

Beginner – Open

Who is the competition group for?

These classes are for children and adult dancers who:

✓ have mastered the basics of Irish step dancing
✓ know at least one soft shoe dance and one hard shoe dance
✓ want to actively prepare for competitions
✓ are motivated to train regularly and work on themselves

How do the classes work?

During the classes, dancers of different ages and levels train together.

With several teachers working together, we can focus on:

dance technique, correct execution of steps, rhythm, strength and conditioning, preparation of competition dances, individual needs of each dancer

Every dancer progresses at their own pace while being part of a supportive and motivating team.

My first competition

Not sure what to expect at your first feis?

We have prepared a guide for dancers and parents – from registration to competition day.

Find out how competitions work, what to prepare and why there is nothing to worry about.

Private lessons

One dancer. One teacher. Full attention.

From our own experience, we know how powerful 1:1 work can be.

Private lessons give us time to focus on small details that can make a big difference – and very often this is where the biggest breakthroughs happen.

Book a one-time consultation or regular private lessons and create space dedicated only to your dancing.

International Irish Dance System

Qualified teaching, fair competitions and clear rules

Irish step dancing has a structured worldwide system of teaching, competitions, exams and qualifications.

inSpiral Dance Company is led by a qualified teacher holding the international TCRG qualification, registered with CLRG – An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (The Irish Dancing Commission) and its regional council RCCEA – Regional Council of Continental Europe & Asia.

This registration allows our dancers to participate in official competitions (feiseanna) and grade exams within the CLRG system.

What does this mean for our dancers?

Being part of this system means not only having the opportunity to compete, but also respecting shared rules.

These apply to: qualified teachers,  adjudicators,  competition organisers, dancers and, for younger dancers, also their parents.

Thanks to these rules, competitions have a clear structure, fair conditions and dancers around the world can progress within the same system.

Grade exams

A new goal on your dance journey

CLRG Grade Exams give dancers the opportunity to gradually develop their skills and track their progress.

The system includes a preliminary level followed by 12 grades, where the difficulty of selected solo and céilí dances increases step by step.

Each dancer receives individual feedback from an adjudicator and a certificate after successfully completing each grade.

Who are grade exams for?

For dancers who:

✓ want to have a clear goal and motivation
✓ want to work on technique and details
✓ enjoy seeing their own progress

Completing all 12 grades is also one of the requirements for dancers who wish to apply for the TCRG teaching qualification in the future.
